This style of yoga is done in a soft fabric hammock elevated above the ground about 3 or 4 feet. In contrast to a traditional yoga class where we use strength to hold our poses. Aerial yoga is about learning how to let go within the posture. The hammock is used to make inversions more accessible by alleviating back and neck compression. It also aligns the spine and decompresses the joints of the body.Aerial classes combine elements of yoga, aerobics, Pilates, and acrobatics to produce an entirely new spin on the physical aspects of yoga postures. The hammock differs from traditionally utilized props in that the entire class is practiced in tandem with the swing. From the start of class to relaxation, the hammocks are props that are never put away, all of the poses in an aerial yoga class are modified to include the support of the swing. What an authentic exploration of Leela this practice could be! In Sanskrit, Leela is the universal play of consciousness, that aspect of joyful abandon that lies in each and every situation, the game of life.Aerial yoga may not take the place of traditional yoga classes, but it can bring balance to your practice. The principles of balance and core integration that are the major focuses of this style of yoga, can help to develop deeper strength and balance that you can apply to a more traditional practice. IIn this workshop-style class, we will break down the functional anatomy of several foundational yoga asanas with the intention of observing our beautiful and unique bodies as they portray different poses. Students will learn about their own body structures and develop new goals for work within a posture- expanding/strengthening range of motion suitable to each body rather than trying to fit a mold of outdated cues. We will use creative breath, drills, and revelry to unearth new levels of muscle engagement and “finding the alignment” for all. Participants will also gain an understanding of the basic actions of the muscles and how they relate from pose to pose so that they can creatively apply what they learn in various common poses. This clinic is great for all levels, especially those looking to deepen their flexibility and/or bring strength to hypermobility. Proper alignment is a key component of injury prevention, both on and off the mat; take the time to feel what alignment means for YOU!
This class is an intermediate approach to the full Primary Series Astanga class. We will explore sun salutes, standing and seated poses in a flowing style connecting movement and breath. This energetic practice will bring up heat, encourage deep breathing and allow you to slow down and listen to your body. Incorporate Ujjai breath work, a flow of asanas that will heat your body and build strength and balance, alignment and hands-on adjustments.

Hanuman Flow Opening to Courage. This 1-hour class is designed to help open the heart, hips and stretch your hamstrings. Both beginner and intermediate postures will be offered focusing on lower body flexibility. These yoga postures are connected through simple flows. The Hanuman flow will ultimately lead to a full split; Hanumanasana, to each individual’s ability.

Considered to be the birthplace of our desire, the ease and openness of the hips is necessary if we want to build our lives from a place of authentic ingenuity and spontaneous authenticity. For this creative energy to be beneficial, however, it must first be filtered through the courageous energy of the heart, the source of our true power where action is motivated by Love. In this class, we will move through a sequence that eases tension in the low back and frees stuck energy of the hips while also opens and strengthens the heart center. By the end we will be more aligned with our highest, bravest, most loving and creative selves. Open to all levels (but recommended for people with some yoga experience) this vinyasa-style class will include breath-centered movement as well as sweet, long restorative holds.

During this workshop, you will learn about the different chakras, what oils best support each chakra, how to use them to allow a flow of energy and have an opportunity to make and take home your own chakra essential oil roller bottle blend! Finding meditation and magic through asana. Discover how the bandhas bring steadiness and mindfulness to the breath and asana practice. Students will learn to locate and access mula bandha and uddiyana bandha, fundamental components of the Ashtanga method. The class will begin with a breathing practice to aid in locating and engaging bandhas, followed by an asana sequence rooted in the Ashtanga tradition. Students will discover how using bandhas creates lightness and steadiness, to make asanas easier, remove obstacles or energetic blocks that can get in the way of the work, and help dial in our wandering mind.

In this class we will practice standing postures to improve strength and balance by engaging the core. With our feet on the earth, we will activate our leg muscles and solicit the help of our abdominal muscles in order to achieve balance in these poses. A portion of the class with focus on core specific postures.
Sweet & Steady Vinyasa Flow! "Practice asana in a state of effortless effort". This is the advice of Patanjali in verse 2.46 of the yoga sutras. Come prepared to find your strength, grace and ease in the postures to a vinyasa flow, with playful music. We all cultivate breath, connection and community. A Weed Walk This is an invitation to explore the wild spaces in foraging for our wellness and learning to identify nutritionally dense weeds that serve, not only our mind, body and spirit, but our most fundamental of senses – sound. Everything owes its existence to resonance. Plants are no different. Thus, we take a moment to listen to plant music and their harmonic variations helping to deepen our connection to the natural world.

This 30-minute introductory class will introduce the basics of the trapeze. These basics include common positions, hand grips on the handles, seat position on the sling, and leg and feet positions when inverted. Standing support to traction the spine, with feet on the ground, will be provided. Full traction pose will be offered with assistance, ending in a cocoon for relaxation.

Kriya Energy Yoga is the yoga of awareness, available to all levels of experience. In this 1 hour class, we will explore ourselves in order to transcend. Teaching will include breathing technique, mantra, mudras and physical movement to cultivate and explore that within us and connect to the larger divinity around us. Open to all levels of experience.
This class will be all about FUN. Suitable for ages 4-10. Kids yoga is a fun and interactive way for kids to build strength, release excess energy and learn techniques to stay calm. This class will encourage kids to explore and develop their minds and bodies. We will go through some traditional yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditations and end with a guided relaxation.

A GONG BATH MEDITATION is a deeply restorative, grounding and quieting immersion in sound. The shimmering harmonic waves emanating from the gongs come in through your ears but also move through your entire body, quickly guiding you into deep relaxation. The gongs rebalance the body, mind and spirit, gently recalibrating the nervous system, relieving anxiety, releasing long-held emotion, accelerating healing and raising your vibration, returning you to your essential resonance.
For this event you will lie down on a yoga mat, close your eyes and simply let the sound wash over you. Please bring a yoga mat and a pillow and/or blanket and an eye covering (if you wish). The more comfortable your body can be, the more beneficial the experience.
